RE: Grrr.... XBOX!

I have used both X2 (I like 2.6) and X3.

The X3 has a "Backup" bios on it which, if you hose the bios, you
can
easily reflash it.

Originally, when the X3 was released, it was the only one that had a
version of FlashBIOS that would allow you to flash via web browser/FTP.
But the latest flashbios available for the X2 does that too.

I dig the new X2 Config Live bios, since now, to change boot order, etc,
I just change a text file, rather than have to build a new bios and
reflash.

X2's should still be available... I think they are even being
manufactured still...

X3 supports an LCD, and the fancy control panels that they sell...

I'm sure I'll think of more,

Aha - so what features specifically can v3 do that v2 doesn't? - but is
it academic anyway - i.e. does the availability of v3 imply that v2 is
discontinued and no longer available?

TIA

OK, can I ask for a quick show of (virtual) hands...

Which modchips do you use?

And does that choice have any standout features or limitations? (i.e.
why did you choose that chip instead of any other?)

Many thanks

Paul G.
