On a related subject, what's the best way to connect a PC to both a plasma
panel (via DVI) and a composite TV distribution system?
The problem I'm having with XP/MCE is that the resolution of the HDMI input
of the panel is 1920x1080 (say), but the max resolution of the composite
output (cable converted from an S-Video output) is just 1024x768.
However, when I clone the primary output (running at 1920x1080), the video
card (an ATI Radeon 9250) cannot scale the video on the secondary display
t=
o
a lower resolution - the only way to do this would be to set both displays
to 1024x768, which doesn't work over DVI/HDMI because it effectively

s
the primary display in the middle of the screen and the remainder is
bordered black.
Ideas?
Cheers,
k

This is the one I'm using:
http://www.sapphiretech.com/en/productfiles/52brochure.pdf
But I have the 256Mb version (makes no bloody difference for running video
under MCE)
Can't remember where I bought it but this looks like it:
