According to Urban Dictionary (www.urbandictionary.com), the word
"shonk" have the following possible meaning. I'll leave it to you
to
decide on the best fit.

1. Man with a shiny head: 'I am a shonk'

2. A thing which be-est dodgey in the manner of its fabrication or final
design.

3. A purely graphical description of bryophytic vegetation in Jay Gatsby's
gardens that allows for the derivative of the tracheophytic dream of
Daisy.

4. To pull a fast one,to get one over on someone. To string something out
but make it look like you've been busy.

There is also a fifth explanation of "The coolest guy on the
planet" but I
think that is referring to the website's author.
