I am putting cat-5e and in some cases coax by every power outlet in the
bedrooms
as I go and cable them. Most items need power as well (unless they are an
analog
phone or have power over ethernet) - not all have coax, I can see that its
going
to become less and less usefull in the future, hopefully iptv comes out
here
sometime eliminating the need for it.

In the kitchen I am not putting cat-5e on the countertop by those power
outlets
as I can see they would not have something plugged into them ever (no
chance of
a cat-5e deep fryer or blender that I can see) but I have got runs in place
to
behind the fridge and also the microwave/oven area incase they make
connected
appliances that are worth having. I was thinking that if I get a
coffeemaker it
may have something that can be connected back, but I will cross that bridge
when
I come to it. Its not like its hard to get them into the kitchen when you
can
always just go thru the cabinet below the counter.

Coax beside the bed so I have something to connect to the antenna on the
clock
radio so I can actually use it. Cat-5es by the TVs for xbox, ps2, and if I
ever
get a PVR (most of my "tv" comes from torrents and is played on
the xbox)
