I need to do something very similar, I want to start an IR network and
distribute around the house.

First, I need to hide a Freeview receiver in the bedroom, and I need to
find a solution to putting the 50 pound Freeview box in a built-in
wardrobe.

How/where are UKHAers actually hiding the IR receivers? What IR
receivers are you using?

I have been looking at the above devices, but they tend to have black
satellite receivers as standard. I have looked at the xantech 'micro
link', but that seems far to expensive, for just a IR receiver.

I cant justify paying more for the IR receiver, than I paid for the
actual devices it will be controlling :)

Cheers,

Craig
