I'm thinking that's probably data breakthrough from your ADSL rather
than mains based interference.  I dont have ADSL here as I use cable but
I'm sure Keith has some valuable input.

I assume you do have the ADSL filters in place.  When you are
experiencing noise it would be good to try and remove the 'Comfort'
onward leg and plug a phone straight into the Master socket (with
filter)  - that would knock out a lot of  possibilities.   Are you
patching the BT line at all via CAT5 sockets ?  (just checking there's
no possible interconnects here to a data line)
