Hi,
The POTS line comes in to node 0 and is terminated in a BT adsl master
socket (adsl + pots sockets with a front that comes off type). The adsl
socket is used by a linksys wireless router (this was a smoothwall pc based
firewall until 2 days ago) and the POTS socket is not used as .... comfort
is wired into the master socket and a second socket is provided for POTS
which comfort has control over. Into this second socket is plugged 2 sky
digital boxes and a dect master handset base.
2 days ago I thought I had killed the noise as I ....
removed the sky's and pulled out the adsl -- all quiet on the dect. I then
swapped the adsl smoothwall for the linksys and plugged it all back in -
all
quiet. Then last night the noise came back as bad as ever.
I am struggeling to pin it down - could it be the wireless component of the
adsl ? Should I move the dect base into another room ?
Comfort / Earthing ? so many places to look...
I am curently implenting * and so eventually all the sky boxes and dect
will
plug into sipura 2000 ata's and the POTS line and dect base will plug into
a
sipura 3000 (fxo/fxs) - still someway off that project though - configuring
* is a bitch.
