Yep. I "made" my own face plates by drilling a hole in a blank
one, and
using a F-type barrel so there's no gap in the shielding (the type where
you clamp the cable to the back of the faceplate expose a bit of the
central core). The aerial cable from the wall is a spare bit of coax
with f-type connectors on each end, and an f-type to belling lee adapter
at one end.
