Hi Ben. I use GPRS all the time on my XDA. As far as I know GPRS should
stay on until you disconnect. GPRS is always on like broadband and they
charge per Kb's downloaded. Don't know about nokia's but I would assume it
works the same.

Seems strange that it takes so long to connect. Do you have a strong enough
signal. When I have a weak signal it does take longer to connect and if
it's not strong enough it does tend to disconnect.

Hi All

I have just got an iPaq hx4700 through work! and so far it is great.

I am able to dial-up via bluetooth and my 6310i and GPRS and check mail
etc.

Now the only issue is that the GPRS connection takes 10-30 seconds to
establish every time.

Does anyone know if it is possible to be permanently connected via
GPRS? (I tested a Treo and this was possible)

Cheers

Ben
