[OT] Best map / navigation software to run on a laptop

Looking for the best map / navigation software to run on a laptop in the
UK.

Tomtom navigator only works on a PPC or a compatible phone.

Nowadays I only carry my laptop and a P910i (no longer use my iPaq). So I
am
looking for the best comprehensive map / wayfinder that will run on my
laptop so I can find the places that I need to get to when I am not near a
wifi point.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Ho yin
