[OT] Outlook and exchange server

  • Subject: [OT] Outlook and exchange server

Still having a bit of trouble setting up outlook the way I want to get it
to
work.

Basically I need it to sync with my exchange server and also download my
pop3 email.

I have managed to get both to work separately, however I want to have them
both running at the same time.

However I can only get all email regardless of where they are being
downloaded from to be stored in one mailbox.

I would like it to store my exchange emails in my work mailbox and my pop3
emails in my home mailbox, but it only lets you pick one mailbox for all
accounts.

My other idea was then to download to one mailbox and use the rules
function
to filter and sort my messages. I manage to setup my rules when connected
to
the exchange server .. but not when I am not. And then it does not run the
rule when I am not connected to the exchange server :-(.

The only other way I have seemed to manage to get it to work is to create a
separate profile one for work and one for home .. however it means I cannot
share my contacts or calendar :-(.

It seems I can only share these items with people through my exchange
server
:-(.

Does anyone have any ideas? It seems the only idea is to use a different
email program to download and read my home emails so that I can have my
work
email open at the same time.

Ho yin
