Good point, I hadn't noticed that. I know exactly what you mean though as
we have several racks here at work. I'll have to have a closer look tonight
to see if I can see any remains of old hinges. I guess the advantage of the
current hinge arrangement is that it will accommodate a custom door more
readily.

Indeedm, and Marc your rack doesn't appear to have the normal holes for
a standard rack door hinge. They would be on the interior horizontal
face of the front surround, right in the corners by the rack mounting
strips. (ie the door would sit flush with the rest of the front surround...
