Hmmm ... I'm sure that the audio carrier on PAL RF transmissions is most
definitely mono only and the only way to get anything other than mono is to
transmit the MICAM bitstream alongside. So as far as I'm aware if that
modulator doesn't do NICAM then it doesn't produce a valid stereo signal
for
the UK...

*HOWEVER* I believe there was an analogue stereo transmission standard used
in Germany at one point called MTX (if my memory serves me correctly - I'm
sitting in a nice hot bath at the moment and cannot be fagged to get out of
here and get my really boring book to go look it up and check in) which is
what it could be producing. If your TV has a "one-size-fits-all"
tuner that
was intended for a pan-European marketplace then I guess its possible that
it could recognise that.
