not sure will try it out on my next reboot :-)
I think it is exchange related. things were fine before that was installed
seems like there is a problem with install exchange on a DC
I have down the manual shutdown and the register fix so it does not
have  20min timeout threshold

Yes - I already have the manual fix of shutting down various services. From
what I read, the problem still exists but I may be wrong.

Are you saying that you still have the 'hanging' problem even though
Exchange and IIS services are stopped?
