Is there any UK legislation that says electronic goods have to have a 1yr

arranty etc? Do they even have to have a warranty?
I=92m just about to buy something but it only has a 6 month warranty as

ndard and was a bit worried (there is no other alternative for this

lar type of product).
I guess the manufacturer can give whatever warranty they like but I just

nted to check.
