Phil

Dual layer disks - http://www.wholesale-media.com @
£2.35 each with free
shipping.
I find wholesale media very friendly i.e.e they call you to say it has been
shipped, and very quick shipping (next day).

I've been having a right pig of a time with writing some DVDs for my
parents
today - had quite a number of coasters by the end of the evening.

Managed to find (with a fair bit of random googling) a list of all the
manufacturers media codes that the latest version of the Philips DVD
Writers
firmware supports (oh - and a latest firmware for the writer too which has
been applied this evening) and from that I've ordered up some DVD-R's from
SVP.co.uk which *SHOULD* write at 12x in my writer ... I could have ordered
up some 16x discs but they would have been £50 for 100 whereas these are
£20
for 100 which is less to risk on seeing whether they work. (Plus, I'll be
writing from images off the network so 16x writing isn't really going to
happen anyway.)

Where are you getting your dual layer media from and what cost? Someone
pointed me to this URL earlier:

http://www.lordofthedeals.co.uk/acatalog/Dual_Layer_8_5Gb.html

Right - now on with my next task of trying to work out the differences
between the current lines of AMD processors ... I have a few Athlon (Socket
A) mobos (unfortunately only 200 and 266 MHz FSB) that I really should make
use of and build into machines but the only spare processors I have are a
700MHz Duron and a 1.2GHz Duron!

Phil
