RE: Wifi problems




I know it's not a channel conflict as my cottage is on a rural farm and no
one else here has a PC let alone wireless. It does look like the structure
is creating a dark spot, so I'm thinking of an access point operating in
repeater mode (thanks for the tip John). Does anyone have any experience of
operating an access point in this mode?

Have you tried changing to a different "channel"? It's possible
there's
someone else near your new house that is running a wireless network (or
some other bit of equipment on the same set of frequencies)...

Not sure if the Linksys supports WDS, but that could solve your problem
if it does.
