On a more serious note, that's kind of my point, coppers see

car and come knocking on your door, it's then up to you to prove your
not involved because some camera that can read number plates thought
you were there.
Sane reason automatic gate openers don't just rely on reading your
number plate. That system has been around for years, IBM even released
a computer vision API that could do it for you ...
