Just looking at this, and apparently the software to use is http://www.twon=
kyvision.de/

It apprears to run on NLSU2 too! but.....

Linksys NSLU2 (Product link)

Please note - the current implementation of the Netgear MP101 can not work
=
with the NSLU2 version of the MediaServer, as there is a networking
problem=
between the TCP/IP stack of the NSLU2 and the Netgear MP101.

Gah!

:-(

I contacted them when it shipped - Netgear are adamant that you=20
cannot use
any other software with their players, there's no API, and "no=20
plans to add
any such functionality".

That being said - given the success the xPL Medianet guys have had at
reverse engineering other protocols using packet captures,=20
etc... It might
just be a good candidate at this price!

The Netgear MP101 Ethernet/mp3 players are at =A359.95 in PCW=20
currently (=A340
off) . Aside from the mp3 player itself , it has a really=20
high contrast
backlit GRAPHIC display (white on black) which can support 4 lines of 24
character's - and also infra red remote control - could make a=20
nice xPL/xAP
garphic display and IR receiver at that=20
price.... As an mp3 player I have mixed feelings as it's a little=20
'slow' in IR control response but it does support UPnP , and therefore=20
works with TelCanto/Media Centre/etc etc - a good xPL MediaNet=20
candidate perhaps.

(BTW There is a newer model from NetGear that I think handles video too
- hence the price drop on this older model)
