New toy (mobile) - mini-review

I finally got hold of an SK65 yesterday (http://www.siemens-mobile.com/sk65
<http://www.siemens-mobile.com/sk65>
), and got it connected to our
Blackberry server today...a very cool phone for those of you using
Blackberry; the screen isn't as good as the Rim 7290's, but for a mobile
it's a reasonable compromise if you're sick of carrying a mobile and a
Blackberry.

On the up side, having been using Nokia's for the past 15 years, it's not
too much of a culture shock moving to the Siemens (not as bad as my short
foray into the world of Sony/Ericsson). The BB functionality is the full
'connect' version, so exactly the same as the RIM devices, as opposed to
the
half-arsed BB software installed on some of the Nokias. The keyboard is
also very useable, even if mine is a German spec! On the downside, I'm not
sure on the battery life; the 7920 will go for days without a charge, but I
suspect this will need charging most days. The other drag is not being
able
to use the dozen Nokia chargers I've got scattered around, so I now need to
buy a bunch of Siemens ones. Overall an impressive bit of kit, and quite
well put together (though one of the 4 units was DOA).

Pete
