Can't help with firewire, however, good sandals should be available from
any
high st shoe shop, try Clarks or any other of the "old shops",
make sure you
have a good pair of socks to complement them though :) You don't really
want
a goatee, how's about a proper full on beard and some long hair to go with
it (sadly my hair went many years ago) ?

If you get no joy on the firewire stuff from here, then there's plenty of
Linux forums about to search on. I would guess that there's a number of
benchmark tools about as there's always someone trying to prove that Linux
is better than MS (I don't see why they can't just integrate them all
rather
than fighting all the time!)
