Re: [OT] DMTech LCD TVs

Does anyone knoe fi this comes with a tuner, and if so is it digital?

According to the Acer website the price should be £649, so there may be
some
room for negotiation with Maplins.

Tim (A),

I haven't heard of them either, but don't read too much into that. As a
possible alternative Maplin have this Acer 26" LCD on offer at GBP 679
although if you sign up for some vouchers you can save another GBP 50.

Details here:
As Acer are well known for their monitors and not their TV's they have had
to build a TV that is a true star in order to compete in this market. This
star performer has a progressive scan 1280 x 768 resolution and is HDTV /
HDCP ready. However, what is surprisingly good about this TV apart from the
picture quality is its sound, which has great bass and really does sound
amazing for an LCD TV. With picture in picture support, PC input, component
(via scart2), RGB (via scart 1), DVI and AV phono connections this baby has
it all. For this quality and at this price you would be mad to miss out.
Strictly while stocks last.

There's more details and a PDF on the Maplin site. Part # A02CN at
www.maplin.co.uk

No connections etc. just saw it in one of their emails.

HTH,

Tim (H)
