Here is a list of Lon products compliant
=20
http://www.echelon.com/productdb/
=20
Lon is a 2 wire bus interface great for small jobs but a pain to engineer a
large installation
=20
Trend controls have been around for years and have just been bought by
Honeywell so watch this space
=20
Honeywell now produce lots of products that are Lon compatible I/O boards +
some great multi sensors that pick up temp Pir movement Digital input
Ligh=
t
level all in the one compact unit.
=20
Honeywell have released a controller in the US that has a built in web
server so should plug straight into broadband due out here anytime
=20
The only downside of Lon is the expensive software required to program
devices =A31600 ish
=20
More info here

=20
I have just completed the Honeywell Care / Lon course Happy to help

On the note of HVAC, I was talking to a chap a few days ago, and he uses
equipment by a co' called: Trend.

Which (as I understand it) uses a LON protocol (iirc... but I maybe
wrong)

It can be web control too. Its mainly commercial stuff (so without
faceplates etc)

Has anyone heard of trend or this LON thing?

Regards,
Jonathan.

12% thats a huge saving, I will be calling heatmiser first thing for=20
more info as pricing does seem very fair. Biggest problem with smart=20
has always been the premium price for each zone. In the case of=20
underfloor this gets very expensive as more often than not every=20
room has its own control. Thats like on average 8 zones plus. Also=20
smart have this stupid policy that you have to buy through them for=20
residential projects, even im having hassle with them about getting=20
gear. This adds also to the cost. I notice the pc interface is not=20
available for heatmiser yet, has anyone seem what it can do?
