Edward,

Frank is not wrong when he says that the number of people on this
group that are Dynalite users are few and far between.... infact I'm
not sure I know of any .... other than I!!!! :-)

Coming from a AV install background, and being a member of UKHA for
some xx years I think Dynalite has gotten probably 3 mentions! Part
of the problem has been the commercial side of Dynalite,
traditionally they were very protective of their product and only
sold through approved dealers, then the whole ilight/Dynalite fiasco
only served to muddy the waters (try www.dynalite.co.uk). BUT.. the
product works, its reliable, they now have 'cbus' style Din units,
some cool new button panels, but as a company they are still wrapped
up in AV/Architect Dealers and there isn't a UK internet shop seller,
so we are forced to buy through a dealer who the majority are not
interested in box sales. Dynalite Uk (Dimtek) argue that its about
protecting the support/dealer, and I suppose I should agree, you can
do some damage with the wrong codes on the bus!

Anyway enough of my rants... I love the product, I have over 40
channels (self installed) in my house, an Ethernet gateway, HV
gateway... and if I finish the code a XAP gateway too.

Any questions either ask here or work out what my real email should
be from this.

Richard Passman
