Oh I know why, but peddling half-truths and exageration because "it's
what
the public wants" is akin to the soldier who says he's "just
following
orders".  At some point, the person in the wrong has to take
responsibility
and stop blaming others.  If the media is deliberately mis-representing
stories as truth, then it is the one at fault, and should stop.

Anyway, this is way, way, off-topic now, so I'll shut up before the thread
gets closed down..
