Apple OS and Touchscreens and/or IR

Hi,
Somebody gave me an "old" G4, I installed OSx on it and it runs
fine -
I would like to use it to drive a touchscreen because I happen to
like the iTunes interface but don't want to use kb & mouse.
2 problems - 1)finding a touchscreen with OSX drivers and interface
and 2)infrared enabling a mac so I can link it to my Xantech system.
All input welcome. (I am using an IRman to drive IR to winamp on a pc
which is what I'm looking for sort of for the mac as well - my IRman
has serial interface)
It may sound silly but I'm new to mac OS so it's going to be an
adventure :-)

PS : would it be possible to use something like Xlobby running on a
sort of virtual windows on a Mac ? if that exists ?
