That would be me!

I tried it for a while. As a portal to your home systems it was OK,
but flawed in some key areas (all IMHO):

- For me there wasn't enough I could control. Just lights (over X10),
which it didn't do particularly well, music (which i commented on
another thread about Zina, and the same applies with HomeHub - it's
not the way to create a media control system!) and pictures which
simply wouldn't work - the import failed every time.

- The security camera module was OK.

- errmmm that's all there was in terms of functionality (i couldn't
actually use it for anything else).

- The remote access seems good, but the restriction around accessing
it via HomeHub's network (hence how they charge for the service) put
me right off. I just didn't use it.

- The beta didn't include a non-browser interface. Having a PDA
interface might be good, but i've not seen/tried it.

In summary, i spent about 10 hours over the space of 2 weeks playing,
configuring, finding it couldn't actually do anything i'd find useful,
realising the remote access model would mean i'd not use it and I
finally gave up (quite disappointed with the experience).

There's obviously a big push from small and big vendors to build the
definitive home control system. In my opinion HomeHub is a long way
from being it, and for me Windows Media Centre with a few addons is
closer.
