Yes, in a word. ;)

The whole OT/OT has been discussed time and again and it always comes back
to, "so long as it's not silly then it's generally fine".

However, I would agree that at times it is at best irritating that there
are
so many Off posts especially, as you point out, from certain people on the
list and I generally regard that as an abuse.

At the same time the list has a wealth of knowledge that is unique in many
ways and gaining the comment and opinions of such knowledgeable people is
invaluable at times. It would be almost criminal to put an end to that IMO.

So certain people need to learn to control themselves or at least go away
and learn how to use Google, honestly it's really not that hard, before
posting silly Off Topic questions.

As ever though, just my own opinion.
