That was my plan too ;)

It's...okay.
The UI is all rendered on the PC and sent as html to the device so it's a
bit slow and tends to be unreactive when the device is actually doing
anything.
One thing you simply cannot do for example is browse your music collection
to "queue up" the next tracks whilst it is playing something.

I still have problems with films over 2Gb crapping out, (eg an xVID rip of
starwars) and the occasional lockup elsewhere in the system.
It sounds great - films, music, photos all in one place but in practice I
find it useful only for films really....

If you have a PCTV card, you can use it as a tivo-a-like, but how useable
it actually is I do not know.

Also be aware that there is a small extra charge ($10 I believe) if you
want support for 5.1 mixdown to stereo.

I believe there is a new version out or due out soon with a beefier
processor which may alleviate the responsiveness issues.
