[OT] connection trace
I'm trying to verify the IP address that an outbound SMTP connection is
using...
The reason being I have a server which is behind an ISP managed router,
which I'm pretty sure is doing some NAT translations, so I'm not 100% clear
what the outbound connection will specify as it source address.
Does anyone know if there's an online service, something like the shields
up site that I can send an email to, and have it then tell me what the
connecting IP address was?
Alternatively, does anyone have an internet facing firewall that they'd let
me initiate an SMTP connection to, who could then grab the source address
from the log & let me know?...
Any help much appreciated...
