RE: Anyone ever used Lonworks ?

I've designed the hardware for a few LonWorks products (fuel pumps, network
controllers, digital metering systems). The software (some could argue the
"clever" bit) was sub-contracted to www.sontay.com , a company
with much greater experience in designing LonWorks products than me.

When testing/commissioning the products, I used Echelon's LonMaker
software. This, in conjunction with a LonWorks-RS232 gateway allowed the
PC to see/commission/control, all devices on the network. Obviously, the
end-user would use a more "user friendly" package. But I never
got involved in that end of the market :-(

Subject: [ukha_d] Anyone ever used Lonworks ?

Hi,

The airconditioning in our new house has a lonworks gateway available to
control it. Has anyone ever use Lonworks or tried to connect it to any HA
applications ?

Chris
