same problem XP Home does - mapped network drives do not authenticate on
the network at login so her email.pst (on a mirrored network drive) is
always unavailable on startup :(
clicking on the drive in explorer brings it back, but it's still a pain.
Tried unmapping/remappign drives in a startup batch file, but that didn't
help - will nave to try "upgrading" MCE to XP Pro and do it
properly as I
should have originally...

As you can see, I'm almost a month behind on the list emails so I hope I'm
not just repeating someone else's answer. I've had this problem before and
found that the remapping the drive from a batch file doesn't work, but
simply having a batch file with the drive letter in be executed during the
startup process does work. I also add in a dir command to force the machine
to query that drive. You may need to put a sleep command in to ensure that
the drive is mapped by the time that your batch file attempts to connect to
it.

ie:

**Start batch file
Sleep 30
M:
dir
**End

Hope this helps,

Matthew Reeve
