Re: [OT] how do you get live output on a web page ?
Unfortunately I don't own one so not exactly sure but I am guessing it
is running a Java based applet, or possibly Flash, both of which can
achieve this sort of thing.. You can also do it with custom Active
controls which is how Crestron and AMX display info realtime, but
limited browser platforms of course. There is quite a bit of talk about
Ajax as well (which is a combinational technology) to achieve better web
interactions eg Google maps and parts of Google search will now display
matches in realtime as you type - one of the SlimServer skins
(EXBROWSE2) is playing with Ajax and maybe "Default2" .
