Hi Mark

You will need the Geovision GV-NET Card. This comes with a lead to plug
int=
o an existing serial port on your Geovision PC. Most PTZ cameras will
suppo=
rt using one pair of cable for PTZ control, CAT5 is fine. Simply link the
o=
utput contacts of the GV_NET card to each camera. Each Camera is given an
a=
ddress either by programming or dip switches. The PTZ cameras do use many
d=
ifferent protocols so check that the cameras you intend to purchase use a
p=
rotocol supported by Geovision, the most common is PELCO D or P I believe.

There are some new cheaper PTZ cameras appearing but I have not used them
s=
o can not comment on there quality etc. Sometimes known branded ones do
app=
ear on ebay but usually go for a few hundred pounds. Geovision does let
you=
store the presets and set up auto tours of the positions etc.
