Asterisk ukha conference call server?

A colleague of mine tells me that asterisk supports conference calls. This
made me think, we must be able to use this feature somehow. So, what about
a
ukha conference call number. Dial in using voip and chat about home
automation. A sort of irc channel, for those too lazy to type, or just a
place to use when you need help to configure a bit of software. I'm told
you
can support multiple conference rooms although I'm not sure how easy it is
to configure, but I imagine someone on here knows.

What do people think? Useful, or not?
