In the meantime, as a part (and cheaper) alternative to Comfort, what
about the GE CADDX alarm panels (NX-8E) with a conduit? They've been
widely integrated in the USA (Homeseer, Mr House, etc.). I've got one
on the way over and I'm planning on an xAP conduit to it. X10 too, if
you must! They can handle a wide number of zones, you can command
remotely, use the keypads for I/O, etc...

You could always remote it with a MSS100 or even a 802.11 bridge and
an MSS100 - although I think I'd prefer hardwire.
