RE: [OT] Need help finding a tool...

I used to have one of those (or at least something very similar) that
was a multipurpose snagging tool for fishing around inside things for
dropped screws, loose bits of wire, you name it - incredibly useful.

As I recall, mine came from the toolkit for my mother's sewing machine,
and one end (the hook end) had a little flap that meant you could push
it into an enclosed space, but when you pulled it back out, it closed
over the loop, and didn't catch on the edges.

I can think of a half dozen jobs that would make easier roundabout now
:D

That seems pretty damn close ... I've also had suggestions of a
"mechanics pick" which are similar(ish).
