RE: CBus wiring and consumer unit

I've done a few in a very low-tech way :-/
Why would you want to ? Perhaps put a laser printer on one, then you can
turn it on/off as appropriate and not have to keep it on all the time,
power cycling set-top boxes - some of the Sky ones seemed to perform
better for periodic cycling, whole house audio amps, dishwasher / washer
/ dryer etc. for running at night or whatever, kid's TVs so they can't
be watching when you've told them to go to bed etc., also for outside
lights where you wouldn't want / need a dimming function.

They're just a few ideas I've been kicking around. Some of the benefits
are a bit trivial, but even if you don't automate the sockets now, think
about how you wire them so that you could automate in the future.
