Oh, one final point.

I used an "automatic loo" in Canada a couple of years ago. An
otherwise
normal toiler that had a pressure sensor under the seat, and autoflushes
when you stand up.

It was an absolutely ghastly experience. Having a loo flush when you
haven't asked it to is utterly, utterly disconcerting. I suppose that in
an en-suite when only you and SWMBO use that loo it might be OK, but in
a loo that guests are likely to use - no way!
