Hi

I was curious to hear some feedback on the best way of keeping your data
safe on your PC, ( WIN_ XP).
I recently got a digital ID from verisign to try and used that to
encrypt some files and sign some emails.

But Microsoft requeries the keys and ceritficates to be held on the pc,
i dont like that idea. I would like to be able to keep these on a USB
flash stick or SD card that i know is always safe and can be removed
when not in use.

Anyone any good ideas of how to acheive this kind of security ? OR any
better solutions ?

PGP Corporate with comes with PGPdisk. You can encrypt files
individually or create an encrypted file which mounts as a normal drive
when you need access to it. There are rumours that PGP will FINALLY be
releasing a full disk encryption product in the nearish future.
