So Firewire disk as dynamic under Win2K isn't available

If I move to XP - my only reliable option to give some resilience is
mirroring.

Can I use all four disks to have either

1) 2 x Mirrored Volumes (each one of 2 x Phys disks) - Then Combine the two
mirrors into a single spanned volume.
or
2) 2 x Spanned Volumes (each of 2 x Phys Disks) - Then Create a mirror
across these spanned volumes.

Either of which should give a single 500Mb volume from 4x250Gb drives.

If I had room in the server I'd just go for a Raid5 Card !
