The base station sticker says Roomba needs to be within 4-5 feet to find
it. So mebe it has some logic that says when on 25% power, if you find the
base station, go for it.

Other problem is I need to convert the PSU - you cant use a stepdown. More
details here -

The PSU says it's 110v, but needs a capacitor change to make it good for
220v - and using a transformer cant get very messy ! So Roomba goes back
in the box until I get this sorted.

That's pretty much the idea I had to start automated cleaning, sounds
like a plan.

The manual on the irobot site suggests that its best to put the roomba
in the middle of the room when you start it so it can find its bearings
better I think. How does it perform when starting out from the side or
corner of a room, ie from its base?

And, can it leave the room and still find its way home?

Cheers

James

Anyone one interested in a review ? Or anything inparticular you want to

know ?

I need to buy some more IR emitters and wire them into the room PIRs -
and
let Comfort send it IR signals to start cleaning from it's self-charging

docking station :-)
