RE: [ukha_d] Public Service Announcement - MCE2005 PC for £580

Hi Kevin

The fan noise is very noticeable for the first second or two after turning
=
it on, since they obviously come up at full speed initially. After only a
v=
ery short delay (only a second or so) they slow right down to the point
whe=
re I wasn't conscious of being able to hear them.

Bear in mind I have the PC in a kitchen though, with all the usual
extraneo=
us noise that entails, so I can't really say how noticeable it would be in
=
a living room environment.

One more quick Q.. - and I know these things are very difficult to=20
quantify, how noisy is it ? I assume its still going to be a case of=20
not in the same room as the TV ?? The fans I assume are variable speed=20
or On/Off temperature switched. I guess the only way to really know=20
this is to pop down to PCW.

I think I've just read the same post :-) ... although there seems to=20
be a partial solution here

I need to read this a bit more thoroughly though, particulalry with=20
regard to differing channel numbers between the two.
