The Hauppage 350 has an MPEG decoder

I have no experience of it though

Sorry for this, I know this question often re-appears in many
scyziz.. but

I'm going to nick an old PC from work, and want to turn it into
a PVR. Sure
it good enough to play DIVX and I'll through a large HD or 2 !
together with
a big of RAM.

But because I've got SKY I don't need a TUNER..

I simply need fo it to be able to control SKY, and to record
and encode at
the right time

oh. and I need a good TV card... Ideally progressive desplay

Does anyone have a similar setup already....
