If you have water running down the centre of the coax this indicates one of
two serious defects.

1. He hasnt fitted the F Connector properly at the LNB or sealed it with
self amalgamating tape.

or

2. He has damaged the outer sheath of the cable somewhere allowing water
into the cable.

Properly installed "air spaced" (to give it its proper title)
coax should
give years of trouble free service IF installed correctly.

People sometimes report water coming out of the back of TV's because it has
trickled down the coax. Usually the casue of this is that the protective
cover on the TV aerial has come off allowing the water in.
