(OT) sky+ cabling standards

I got sky+ installed yesterday :) After the sky installer left I
started to re-wire to fit in with my TV distribution and I discovered
the cables he used are the hollow type. I can already feel the water
running down.

Before I phone sky I thought I'd ask the gurus. Is hollow cable the
standard for sky installations? Should I replace it with solid core
before my kit blows up?
