Roku M1000 or Squeezebox

Hi All,

I've decided to replace my Rio Receiver in the lounge with something
that the rest of the family will use (Rio display to small), I'm
thinking of either a Roku M1000 or a Squeezebox. I know when the M1000
was talked about here a while ago one downside was the fact the software
wasn't open source. Looking at their website it now uses the slimserver
software so I'm not sure if there is much between the devices. Has
anyone experienced both devices, do they do more or less the same? Also
I know there are vaious plugins to display time, email arriving and
caller ID, if these plugins are for the slim server software would they
work on the Roku device as well?

Cheers,

Keith
