I'd give it a go first.
Not supported, but does the SPDIF work? I just changed my MCE Mobo for an
Abit one (£15 Ebay!) . It has Spdif out under 97 drivers, so unsupported,
but when I tried it out it works fine - only issue is the volume is
controlled by the WAVE panel and the master volume seems not to affect it
(so doesn't work via the remote) but I will see if I can change that.
