The two ports on each bridgeboard are firewire in and out so everything is
daisychained...

One "long" (1m) firewire cable from the PC to the first case,
three 20cm
firewire cables looping from one bridgeboard to the next, another
"long"
firewire cable from the first case to the second, another three 20cm
firewire cables looping from one bridgeboard to the next, another
"long"
firewire cable between the second case and the first Maxtor external
enclosure then another 20cm firewire cable between the first Maxtor
enclosure and the second maxtor enclosure...

...all nice and tidy.
