dell audio receiver lists tracks, won't play

Can any of you wise guys out there help me with a Dell Audio
receiver problem.
It can see the server, the server can see it. I can see and select
tracks but when I hit the play button the track does not start
playing.
Win2k
V1.03 software
2,300 tracks
Any suggestions please
